Guide · X to Threads

Your X posts, on Threads too.

Plenty of the people you want to reach never opened an X account. They are on Threads. You don't have to write for both.

Room to spare

A standard X post is 280 characters. A Threads post is 500. So nearly everything you write on X lands on Threads exactly as you wrote it. The exception is a long post written with X Premium: Twinpost splits it into a short Threads thread instead of cutting the end off.

Questions about Threads

Will my Threads followers know it came from X?

The post appears under your own Threads profile like anything else you write there. Twinpost doesn't add a banner or a link back to X.

Does Twinpost need my Threads password?

No. You approve Twinpost on Threads' own sign-in page, and you can remove that access from your Threads settings at any time.

What about the people I tag on X?

A handle on X and a handle on Threads can belong to different people, so Twinpost copies the text as written. If a tag matters, reply on Threads and tag them there.

Can I mirror to Threads and Bluesky at the same time?

Yes, with Pro, which mirrors to up to five networks. Free mirrors to one network of your choice.

What if I also post on Threads directly?

Keep doing it. Twinpost only watches X, so nothing you write on Threads is copied anywhere.
